Luz-Helena Sarmiento, president and founder of Luz Ambiance Inc., completed a university degree in commerce and marketing in Colombia, her country of origin, as well as the intensive marketing program offered at the Montreal HEC. 

In 2003, after having worked for 10 years as Director of Marketing in corporate Montreal, she created a new concept which would revolutionize the world of corporate events by bringing sponsors out of the darkness and into the light: personalized illuminated center pieces.
